jOmO Slavumas

Drop two fingers of Gypsy music and one of Yiddish into a shaker, add a strong dose of rock'n'roll and drown the whole in a generous share of Slavic sounds and rythms, but always let jOmO add the Esperanto, shake it up, and serve you this astonishing cocktail bound to transport you at first sip to a world that only seems familiar for a very short time !

This new CD, to be consumed with no moderation whatsoever, is in fact a quasi-double album of more than one hour bringing together jOmO, his faithful Libertarios companions and the traditional Slavic music band named, Solnichka. The exercise could seem acrobatic to those who know the high volted basic rock of JoMo kaj LIBERECANOJ (vkkd18) and anyone else would certainly not have controlled this so brilliantly.

The result is a rather unique experience that seems to suggest rock'n'roll came from Russia or Ukraine and, without really stating such a fact, still tells the story, pulverizing some old barriers that only resist by habit.

If you're not too uneasy with altitude, this album is for you !
